About Jaren Jackson Jr.
Basketball player Jaren Walter Jackson Jr., better known by his initials JJJ and born on September 15, 1999, plays for the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA. Jackson is the son of basketball coach and former NBA player Jaren Jackson. He enrolled in Park Tudor School to begin his high school career. He played varsity basketball for three years, averaging 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game. Jackson participated in two IHSAA basketball state championships for Park Tudor. Trevon Bluiett, a current two-way player for the New Orleans Pelicans and a former star player at Xavier University, was his teammate. The next year, he changed schools and began playing for the varsity team at La Lumiere School.

Jackson was pursued by several major schools, such as Michigan State, Notre Dame, Butler, Indiana, Purdue, Maryland, and others. He received an invitation to the March 29, 2017, McDonald’s All-American Game. In the 2018 NBA Draught, the Memphis Grizzlies picked him in the fourth round.
